After having spent the last fourteen years living and working on Exmoor, Keith has developed menus that use locally sourced fresh ingredients, trying to reflect the nature of the area and to keep a traditional aspect to the cooking. Nearly all dishes are cooked on or in the four oven AGA, with home made soups, casseroles and fish dishes being true favourites with our guests.

As all the food is cooked in our kitchen please feel free to ask for smaller or larger portions as we will be happy to oblige. It is also not unusual for guests who have visited before to ask for specific dishes to be cooked!

Although Ingleside is not licensed, guests are more than welcome to bring their own drinks and we can chill them, provide glasses, and serve them to your table. We do not charge corkage.

Sample Dinner Menus

To start:-

Aubergine & Tomato Bake with Parmesan Cheese
Homemade Carrot and Coriander Soup Served with a warm bread roll/croûtons
Selection of chilled Fruit Juices

Main Course:-

Mum's Individual Steak and Kidney Pie (Devon's finest beef & kidney)
Roast Cod with a Lemon, Garlic and Herb Breadcrumb Crust
Chicken, Leek & Bacon Casserole - just what the AGA was made for!
Salmon Fillet AGA-roasted with Dill and Butter, served with a Prawn Sauce

All the above are served with potatoes and a
selection of other vegetables

And to follow:-

Profiteroles with Chocolate Sauce
Home Made Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
Selection of Cornish Ice Creams
Cheese & Biscuits

All the above are served with either custard, cream and/or ice cream

Followed by ground coffee or tea and served with mints
in the lounge

Garlic Mushrooms À La Ingleside
Home made Leek and Potato Soup served with Crusty Bread
Selection of chilled Fruit Juices

Main Course:-

Salmon Fillet baked with Sea Salt, Dill & Olive Oil, served with a delicious Prawn Sauce
Provençal Pot Roast Chicken - simmered in the AGA creating a fantastic classic French Sauce
Beef Bourguignon - Prime Devon Beef Cooked with a Good French Wine

All the above are served with potatoes and a
selection of other vegetables

And to follow:-

Bailey's Irish Cream Cheesecake
Home made Bread & Butter Pudding
Selection of Cornish Ice Creams
Cheese & Biscuits

All the above are served with either custard, cream and/or ice cream

Followed by ground coffee or tea and served with mints
in the lounge

Evening meals are available at a cost of £19 per person and are served at 7.00pm
